Join RSPB Scotland staff at Nigg Bay in the Cromarty Firth as they share their experience of managing the invasive grass Spartina anglica on saltmarshes in the area.

The event will cover the challenges faced while managing Spartina, lessons learnt during the process and the progress that has been made in tackling this persistent plant.

During the event there will be the opportunity to discuss how techniques adapted to manage Spartina might be relevant to the management of other invasive species, and how managing other invasive species might be relevant to the future management of Spartina.

The event will include a short indoor presentation and a site visit to RSPB Nigg Bay.

Tea and coffee and will be available on arrival, but bring your own lunch.

If possible, please car share with colleagues, as parking at Nigg Bay may be limited.

No dogs on the reserve please.

Meet at Nigg Community Hall: From A9 roundabout, follow the shore road and turn left at the sign to Nigg Village. Turn left at T-junction and the hall is on your left.
